Furi Rachael Ray Gusto Grip Knives
A cross between a
cook's knife and a vegetable chopper, the Furi Rachael Ray East/West knife has a
very thin blade with an exceptional sharp cutting edge that slices through
vegetables and meats with more ease than the thicker cook's knife. The
scalloped edge reduces friction to make slicing easier. The blade, solid forged
bolster and tang are all one piece of the finest German CrMoV stainless steel alloy. Furi didn’t weld a blade to a
die-cast bolster and tang, like most of the cheaper home-oriented brands. The
handle itself is a molding of super-tough orange Polypropylene with clear synthetic rubber permanently molded
around. This is pressed onto the thick tang, and a stainless steel counterweight
is pressed into the tail for perfect balance. Hand washing
recommended. A great value for the gourmet home cook, or
chef.
"Since I spend more time with a chef's knife in hand, I need a handle that is easy to hold and doesn't slip. The Furi RR Gusto-grip East/West features a unique "reverse wedge" shaped handle, which reduces the amount of squeeze needed and keeps my hand from getting fatigued. Also, the shape of the handle looks REALLY cool...it's kinda like a typical knife handle flip flopped backwards." Rachael Ray
