Amaral’s Bakery located in Fall River MA, produces the best sweetbread using the freshest ingredients! Amaral’s, which is a sweetbread that has hardboiled eggs baked into the loaf, is made from an old family recipe which began over fifty years ago in Sao Miguel, Portugal! In the spring, this Portuguese Sweetbread is purchased for Easter, the eggs in the bread symbolize rebirth. Folar is not just served at Easter but rather is often consumed at family gatherings and at family parties throughout the year.

Ingredients: flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin, iron, potassium bromate, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, eggs, water, milk, margarine (liquid soybean oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, water, whey, soybean lecithin, vegetable mono and diglycerides, sodium benzonate (as a preservative), potassium, caseinate (as a protein), artificially colored, artificially flavored, vitamin A palmitate added), butter, yeast and salt.
