Kayem begin in 1909, when Kazimierz Monkiewicz moved with his wife to America from Poland. He began making kielbasa and delivering the product by horse-drawn carriage throughout his local area of Chelsea, MA. The company was named “Kayem” and expanded its products to include: sausage, deli meats, hot dogs, and natural casing franks. For over 100 years, Kayem has been a hometown favorite of New England.
